You are welcome at Cornerstone Christian Church!
We are not the only Christians, but we are Christians only. We are an independent body of believers with a desire to serve Jesus.  Our goal is to be humble before the Bible, listen to what it says, and obey its instruction for life and mission.

What we are all about...
We celebrated our 100 year anniversary in 2019 but our mission is 2,000 years old. We have our focus on "being and making better followers of Jesus." We ourselves want to be better followers, and we want to make better followers as Jesus commanded us in the great commission. 

What We Believe...

We believe the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God.  All believers are invited to share in the Lord's Supper which is served every Sunday.

In keeping with the teachings of the Bible, we believe a relationship with Jesus develops through faith, repentance, and baptism into Christ by immersion for the forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit and eternal life with God.

If you would like more information about what we are about, what we believe and how to get involved, we offer a regular lunch gathering called "Discover Cornerstone" where you can check us out without making any prior commitment! 

What to Expect When You Visit...
We hope that you find Cornerstone Christian Church as a place you can call home with people you can call family.  We offer a weekly worship service at 10:30 AM with a blended style of modern worship songs and the text of older hymns. The instrumentation is a contemporary band. The message is presented with the Bible as the main text and primary authority. Children's programs and a youth class are offered during the Sunday worship gathering time as well.

Being a church family is important and at Cornerstone you will find individuals and families of different types and backgrounds all coming together to worship God and encourage one another. Our building is fully handicap accessible. Our hearts are open and our hope is that you will feel welcomed and valued with this body of believers.  Please ask any of the greeters at the doors or our hosts at our welcome center for assistance in locating anything you need. If you are a guest, drop by our Welcome Center for a gift and so we can get the opportunity to introduce ourselves to you!

Ministry Staff

Our church family is guided by a group of Elders that are appointed according to Scripture.  There are several volunteer leaders and workers that make all the various ministries of the church possible.  Our church office is staffed Monday through Thursday from 9 AM - 3 PM by the administrate assistant Jenni Grimes.  Our ministry staff would be happy to talk with you and be of assistance to you.

Devin Robertson,
​Lead Minister

Devin began serving as the Lead Minister of Cornerstone Christian Church in the fall of 2017. Prior to coming to Cornerstone, Devin served as Youth/Children's minister at Walker Christian Church in southern Missouri for four years, followed by serving as youth minister at New Hope Christian church in central Iowa for another four years. 

Devin completed his bachelors degree in Biblical Studies through Ozark Christian College and graduated with his Master's degree in Bible and Theology from Lincoln Christian University.

Devin has been happily married since 2011 to his wife, Sarah and has 3 children, Kaydence, Reggie, and Reyna. He loves to spend time with his family, and spend time in the outdoors. He also enjoys playing golf, mountain biking as well as playing and coaching tennis. Lastly, it won't take you long in spending time with Devin to realize he is avid Iowa Hawkeye's fan.

Above all, Devin loves the church, preaching the Word, and seeing lives changed through the power of Jesus!

Todd Earnst,
​Minister of Family and Youth

Todd's ministry is focused on the lives of young people with a special interest in equipping the church to help strengthen families.  His focus is upon Middle School through College students.

Before joining the congregation in July of 1998 as Minister of Family and Youth, his experience included a youth ministry in Sandusky, Ohio and being a ministry team member of a church-planting mission in the South American country of Argentina.  He received his Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies with an emphasis in Psychology from Cincinnati Christian University in 1996.  He was ordained into ministry in 1997 and also received a Masters of Arts in Practical Ministries with a focus on Family Life Education in 2002.

Todd married Amanda on September 5, 1998.  They have three children Tyler, Alysa and Aidan.

Amanda Earnst,
​Director of Children's Ministries

Our church is pleased to not only have active youth ministries, but also active ministries for children ages birth through 5th grade and their families.  Amanda has a passion for helping children to know Jesus and for families to be strengthened by being a part of the church.

Before becoming a part of the church, Amanda received a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies and Early Childhood Development from Cincinnati Christian University in 1996.  She served at the East 91st Street Christian Church in Indianapolis, Indiana and worked for Cincinnati Christian University before coming to Jackson with her husband, Todd, in 1998.  She served as a faithful volunteer in the children's ministries of Cornerstone Christian Church before becoming the Director in August of 2004.
